Adolf Hitler (1889 – 1945) was an Austrian-born politician who led the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei NSDAP),or the Nazi Party. He was Chancellor of Germany (1933–1945) and Führer und Reichskanzler of Germany (1934–1945). Walter Buch (1883-1949), President of the Nazi party Supreme Court and father-in-law of Martin Bormann.

This offering is a scarce early typewritten Document Signed, Adolf Hitler, one page (recto and verso), 7¾” x 9”, Munich, Germany, March 31, 1927, annotated with an Autograph Note Signed, Walter Buch. At the request of the Supreme Commander of the the Sturmabteilung, or SA, the Nazi storm troops, Hitler expels a member from the Nazi party for failure to attend an SA meeting. The member’s appeal is typewritten and signed by him on the reverse, with a typed note by the Supreme Commander’s adjutant and Buch’s handwritten, signed note. The document is printed on stationery of the Munich headquarters of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter-Partei, the N.S.D.A.P. or National Socialist German Workers’ Party—the Nazi party. The piece has toning, horizontal and vertical folds, minor edge splits, a few repairs to the edges, and a pencil note in another hand identifying Buch. Overall it is in fine condition.

Walter Buch, a German Jurist, was a major figure in the early Nazi Party. He was inturmental in holding the party together after many party members fled Germany after the failed Beer Hall Putsch and he was involved in the ultimate murder of Rohm .Buch was also responsible for the "legalization" of Party members' excesses during the so-called Kristallnacht (9 November 1938). He declared after his investigation that the "small Party comrades" who were responsible for more than a hundred Jews' deaths had only been following orders. he and other German attorneys may have been the model for the Burt Lancaster character in the movie Judgment at Nurenmberg.
