(b. 1920). Irish-American
Film Actress. Very Desirable Vintage Photograph Signed,
from the 1950 John Ford Classic Western, Rio Grande, being
an approximate 8 in. by 10 in. black and white publicity photograph
of the stunningly attractive O'Hara wielding a pair of pistols.
Boldly signed in dark fountain pen on the upper right: "Maureen
O'Hara".

- Born in Ranelagh, County Dublin,
Ireland, the famously red-headed beauty is noted for playing
fiercely passionate heroines with a highly sensible attitude.
She often worked with director John Ford and longtime friend
John Wayne. Rio Grande (1950) was the third installment
of John Ford's "cavalry trilogy" (Fort Apache
(1948), She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949), are the first
two). The chemistry between Wayne and O'Hara was unmistakable,
and they went on to appear in four more films together. She has
appeared in such classics as The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Subsequent (1939), How Green Was My Valley (also 1941
Oscar-winner), the classic Miracle on 34th Street (1947),
The Quiet Man (1952), Our Man in Havana (1960), the
Disney classic, The Parent Trap (1961, one of her favorites),
Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation (1962), and Spencer's Mountain
(1963), before reuniting with Wayne for the boisterous Western
comedy McLintock! (also 1963) and Big Jake (1971,
her last with Wayne).
