Goering's Massive Sword

HERMANN GOERINGSWORD.This offering is a massive sword (55 inches long, weight 15 #) that was manufactured by Krupp Arms company and presented to Reichsmarshall Herman Goering to commemerate his being designated as the creator of the FOUR YEAR PLAN to revitalize German industry in preparation for war. The sword is in superb condition and it is the most important Goering artifact to surface in recent memory. The provenance is solid and will be available to any buyer. This format of Turkish Damascus forging in the blade of the sword is the rarest and hardest pattern of Damascus steel to make. The high quality represented in this sword has never been surpassed since the 'Third Reich' era. The skill, knowledge and equipment required to replicatethis massive sword means without a question that this sword is authentic and was made by Krupp in the time of Nazi Germany. In support of this contention note the following two facts: first, we have correspondence from Krupp stating that a sword identical to this one was presented to Reichsmarschall Herman Goering ; and ,second, three experts in German edged weapons, two of whom were metallurgists, have deemed this sword was from the NAZI ERA AND THAT IT IS CORRECT IN EVERY DETAIL AND THEREFORE AUTHENTIC.The inlay in the blood groove reads: "To the Smith Reichsmarschall Goring of the Four Year Plan." The inlay also shows the patented Krupp logo as demonstrated in the above photo.(germans use 'smith' to indicate maker of r progenitor of such as smith of edged weapons).

Ronald Reagan (b.1911-2004). Actor, Governor of California, and 40th President of the United States (1981-1989).This offering consists of two 3 in x 5 in note cards on which President Reagan outlined A CAMPAIGN speech he gave on a 1979 swing through Montana and North Dakota . The cards are in excellent condition and they appear to have been printed using a standard ball point pen. They are unsigned. President Reagan often used similar file cards to outline his speeches and he even mentions this point in his book Speaking My Mind. These cards therefore represent an outstanding and important historical artifact. In terms of their provenance , these cards were left in Reagan's Hotel room in Cut Bank Montana and were rescued by the person with great foresight and a sense of history who cleaned the room after he departed. The world has turned over many times since that giant Ronald Reagan thundered across the world's stage. These cards represent quintessential Reagan----thoughtful, informed, insightful and well aware that the Soviet Empire was exactly what he called it somewhat later--AN 'EVIL EMPIRE' THAT COULD NOT BE TRUSTED. REAGAN HAD A COMMITMENT TO PRESERVING THE SECURITY AND FREEDOM OF THE LAND HE LOVED-THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS WELL AS FREEDOM FOR THE WESTERN WORLD AND TAIWAN. President Reagan had a keen sense of obligation to our friends and allies and thus turned around the thought that it was more dangerous to be a friend than to be an enemy of the United States which flourished while Carter was president.

As Reichsführer-SS he oversaw all police and security forces, including the Gestapo. This is an excellent association document in which Himmler promotes one of his favorites, Hermann Fegelein. Fegelein became a highly-decorated officer, married the sister of Nazi Führer Adolf Hitler’s mistress Eva Braun, and then, within a year of the marriage, was executed by an SS squadron for alleged desertion as the Soviet army closed in on Hitler’s Berlin bunker.Fegelein’s own autograph material is rare enough, but this is one of only three of Fegelein’s personal service documents of which we are aware. We are currently offering a second one, a 1944 document signed by Hitler promoting Fegelein to the dual ranks of SS-Gruppenführer and Waffen-SS Generalleutnant, the equivalent of a lieutenant general an earlier promotion in March 1940. The third, Hitler’s award to Fegelein of the oak leaves to the Knight’s Cross, is illustrated in Volume I of Charles Hamilton’s classic work Leaders & Personalities of the Third Reich.

For this act, he was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross. Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865).Despite the fact that the war would not be over for another 18 months, Lincoln wanted to provide for a lenient policy of reconstruction. To those who took an oath of loyalty, he was prepared to issue a full pardon, with some notable exception. The famous Oath of Dec 8, 1863.Lincoln, Abraham. Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn ( 1918-2008).TRIBUTE TO A GREAT MAN WHO PASSED LAST WEEK.Russian Author & Nobel Laureate (1970). Typed Manuscript Signed, one page, quarto, being a transcription of the first page of the Gulag Archipelago, his most famous novel.Although this is not the work for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature, most historians believe its publication was a seminal event which made him the most important literary figure of the last century.Solzhenitsyn's work called the profound evil of Stalin and communism to the attention of the entire world. Here is a quote from the typescript that illustrates the point: "The Universe has many different centers as there are living beings in it. Each of us is a center of the Universe, and that Universe is shattered when they hiss at you: You are under arrest."After the publication of Gulag, it was no longer possible for either the empty headed 'intellectuals' of most of the world or the left-leaning media in the United Sttes to find any redeeming qualities in the Soviet system--although they tried hard enough. Some argue that the publication of this book had a profound effect on many Americans including Ronald Reagan and that it was therefore the pebble that started an avalanche of revulsion which eventually led to the downfall of the Soviet Union.

This facsimile was recreated from a first printing of the Declaration of Independence called the"Lost Copy" which was discovered in 1968 in the 132 year old Leary's Book Store in Philadelphia The "Lost Copy" was purchased at auction by Dallas business executives Ira G. Corn, Jr., and Joseph P. Driscoll for $404,000 in 1970. The document was restored and then R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company, The Lakeside Press, was commissioned to produce a small number of facsimiles in the early 1970's.The original broadside from which the facsimile was created was donated to the City of Dallas in 1978. As time passed the existence of these facsimiles was forgotten until what remained of them were discovered in a used book store still in the Donnelly wrapper. In a sense, then, history repeats and these facsimiles can be thought of as the "lost facsimiles".We are offering exclusively for sale on the web this exquisite facsimile of an original Dunlap Broadside. Harry S Truman (1874-1972).Senator, Vice-president and 34th President of the United States. This is a TLS on US Senate stationery in which Truman responds to a letter asking him if he had changed his mind on the Supreme Court 'Question.' This letter was written just 10 days after ---"FDR sent his court-reform bill to Congress on February 5, 1937. In his accompanying message, Roosevelt stated that the judiciary should be reorganized "in order that it also may function in accord with modern necessities." FDR pointed out that the number of justices on the Supreme Court had been changed by Congress six previous times. The president argued that the federal courts were crowded with pending cases causing costly delays. He also addressed the issue of "aged or infirm judges" and the need for "younger blood."" As everyone knew then and knows now, FDR was having all of his New Deal schemes declared unconstitutional by the Supreme court and he wanted to pack the court with judges who would pass the New Deal programs. In Truman's letter he states that he has no opinion (sic) regarding FDR's proposal and that he wants more facts before deciding a matter, as HST put it, "That goes to the root of our government." A wonderful letter on a historic conflict between the Executive and Judicial branches and a letter that reflects Truman's character.

It is a First Limited Edition, First printing and has a beautiful slip case and the book is signed both by Singer, Isaac B. Singer and the illustrator Uri Shulevitz. The book and slipcase are in as new condition. This story was first published in Yiddish in 1969, and was translated into English by the author in 1982 under the title The Golem. A golem is a magical creature out of Jewish mythology. He's made of clay, and imbued with life through Cabbalistic magic and/or divine intervention to assist the Jewish people in a time of need. This version of the golem myth is presented as a children's story, although it is a blood-and-guts versions of the popular fairy tales. The persecution of the Jews is told bluntly, and the absurdity of the false accusations and sham trials is made obvious to all. But persecution is only one of the many themes here. All the best children's literature is the stuff that adults won't tire of easily. The Golem is no exception. Read it for yourself first and decide if it's suitable bed-time reading for the little ones, or if it would just involve too many parenthetical explanations on your part. In any case, you won't be sorry you read it.
